Cihan University-Erbil Football Championship: The Victory of the Physiotherapy Department and the Informatics and Software Engineering Department Teams

By the end of the first-round mini-football championship between the scientific departments at Cihan University-Erbil, which was held under the supervision of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, two matches were held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Cihan University-Erbil Stadium.

     In the ninth match of the first round, the Physiotherapy Department team played against the College of Dentistry team. The match ended in a draw between both teams. After moving to penalty kicks, the Physiotherapy Department team won with a score of 4-3.

      Subsequently, the tenth match took place between the Informatics and Software Engineering Department and the General Education Department teams. It was an exciting match that ended in a draw between the two teams. The Informatics and Software Engineering Department team won with seven goals to six after moving to penalty kicks.

The Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil, under the supervision of the President of Cihan University – Erbil, organizes tournaments of all kinds of games annually for Cihan University-Erbil students. This includes a mini-football tournament, which involves the participation of students from various scientific departments at the university.
