Cihan University-Erbil Hosts Joint Training of Trainers (ToT) Course in Collaboration with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, and in coordination with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development and the Nawaras Al-Furat Foundation, the university organized a specialized Training of Trainers (ToT – Level 1) course.
The two-day intensive program was held on 15–16 July 2026 at the Conference Hall of Cihan University-Erbil. The opening ceremony commenced with a speech by Engineer Mohammed Al-Moussawi, Head of the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development and President of the Nawaras Al-Furat Organization for Sustainable Development. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of institutional partnerships in capacity building, skills development, and fostering a culture of continuous learning as a fundamental pillar of progress.
Representing Cihan University-Erbil, Assistant Lecturer Omar Adil delivered a welcoming address, highlighting the significance of this productive collaboration with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development and the Nawaras Al-Furat Organization. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting training initiatives that contribute to human resource development and strengthen academic-institutional partnerships.
The inauguration was attended by the university’s Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, along with college deans, faculty members, and professional trainers. The course brought together 29 participants from diverse professional backgrounds representing the provinces of Erbil, Baghdad, Karbala, and Babylon, in addition to members of Cihan University-Erbil’s academic and administrative staff. The curriculum was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Omar Adil Mohammed Ali, Head of the Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies, and a team of expert trainers. It included comprehensive theoretical and practical modules on effective communication and public speaking, time management, training manual preparation, and essential pedagogical skills for successful trainers.
The program concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony led by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim Saeed, Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, and Mr. Mohammed Al-Moussawi. This initiative forms part of the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the participating parties and serves as a foundation for future collaborative programs aimed at developing skilled professionals and enhancing training standards within scientific and professional communities.
