Cihan University-Erbil Lecturer Participates in the Intelligent Construction Program in China

As part of her commitment to international academic cooperation and academic excellence, Ms. Lana Shahab Ahmed, an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil, represented Iraq in the International Training Course on the Intelligent Construction Industry for Belt and Road Countries, organized by the Government of China.

Held in China on July 1, 2026, the training course brought together 25 participants from various Belt and Road countries. Assistant Lecturer Lana also represented the Kurdistan Regional Government to exchange knowledge and expertise in the latest developments in the intelligent construction industry. The course covered advanced topics, including Artificial Intelligence, Building Information Modeling, smart construction technologies, digital transformation, intelligent infrastructure, sustainable construction, and innovative technologies that enhance the efficiency, quality, safety, and management of construction projects.

The course was highly beneficial, as it provided participants with opportunities to engage in expert lectures, technical workshops, academic discussions, and field visits led by distinguished Chinese scholars and industry specialists.
