Cihan University-Erbil Lecturer Successfully Completes International Program on Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics in China
In a significant step toward fostering international scientific collaboration, Lecturer Adil Hussein Mohammed, a faculty member in the Department of Software Engineering and Informatics at Cihan University-Erbil, concluded his participation in a prestigious scientific program in the People’s Republic of China.
The program, held from June 14 to June 30, 2026, featured the ‘Seminar on Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics Industry for Government Officials of BRICS Countries 2026,’ hosted by Huaqiao University in Xiamen.
Field Innovations and Technological Insights
Through a series of lectures and field visits to leading Chinese laboratories and industrial facilities, Lecturer Adil Hussein gained valuable insights into China’s advanced technological capabilities. He noted that the program showcased the country’s remarkable achievements in intelligent manufacturing and robotics. He also revealed that several technical proposals he presented during scientific discussions were formally accepted by Chinese companies for further exploration as part of their Research and Development (R&D) projects.
Reflections on China’s Growth and Comparisons with Erbil
Lecturer Adil Hussein described China’s transformation over the past three decades as a ‘scientific miracle,’ highlighting its successful integration of a 5,000-year-old civilization with modern technological innovation. Comparing China’s rapid urban development with the growth of Erbil, he emphasized the remarkable progress both have achieved in infrastructure development. He also praised the Chinese people for their professionalism, kindness, and warm hospitality.
Academic Exchange and Closing Ceremony
During the program, Lecturer Adil Hussein delivered a specialized guest lecture, commending the international participants for their high research standards and strong engagement with emerging technologies. At the closing ceremony, held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Huaqiao University, he delivered a speech expressing his appreciation and emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the Cihan University-Erbil logo and a special gift from Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities, to the officials of Huaqiao University, followed by the official presentation of international certificates of participation.
