Cihan University-Erbil Lecturers Participate in Career Development Skills Training Course

On Monday, 14 September 2026, a four-day specialized training course on Career Development Skills commenced at the Cultural and Academic Center of Salahaddin University-Erbil, with the participation of a faculty delegation representing Cihan University-Erbil.

The Cihan University-Erbil delegation included Assistant Lecturer Azwar Mahdi Qasim Agha, Head of the Department of Media; Assistant Lecturer Omar Mohammed Adel, Head of the Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies; and Lecturer Dashne Abdullah Saeed, a faculty member in the Department of General Education.

Organized by Salahaddin University-Erbil, the daily training sessions were delivered by Dr. Hussein Ahmed Mustafa, who provided detailed instruction on career development skills and practical methods for implementing these competencies in classroom environments to help students achieve learning outcomes effectively. The training curriculum emphasized raising students’ awareness and developing their social and communication skills, with a particular focus on body language, interpersonal etiquette, and public speaking techniques required to become effective public speakers.

Additionally, the course highlighted labor market requirements and faculty empowerment through modern pedagogical frameworks developed in accordance with international quality assurance standards and institutional knowledge-transfer methodologies aimed at facilitating the delivery of internal workshops.

The final sessions focused on workplace problem-solving strategies and critical thinking. During these sessions, Cihan University-Erbil faculty members actively contributed to discussions and shared their field expertise.

Notably, Cihan University-Erbil has systematically integrated Communication Skills instruction across all academic departments for six consecutive years to enhance students’ practical capabilities and prepare them for employment.
