Cihan University–Erbil Students Commence Scientific and Cultural Exchange Program in London
As part of their scientific and cultural exchange program in the United Kingdom, a student delegation from Cihan University–Erbil visited the historic Victoria Station area in London upon their arrival on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
The visit marked the introductory phase of the program and was designed to familiarize the students with London’s civil infrastructure, modern transportation network, and urban environment. The activity was supervised by Dr. Anas Saada Salim Al-Khouri and included Rayan Hussein Hassan, a third-year student in the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences; Ali Maher Dawood, a fourth-year student in the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis; and Rekawt Abdullah Rasul, a fourth-year student in the Department of Computer Science.
During the excursion, the students explored the engineering features and urban landscape surrounding Victoria Station while visiting several nearby historical landmarks. The experience provided valuable insights into urban planning, transportation systems, and sustainable development, complementing the educational objectives of the exchange program.
The students expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to experience London’s rich historical and multicultural environment from the very first day of their visit. In the coming days, they will begin their academic courses in linguistic development at the International Foundation Group (IFG) centers in Oxford and London, where they will further enhance their English language skills and broaden their international academic experience.
