Cihan University-Erbil Students Continue International Training on Occupational Safety at Palacký University, Czech Republic
As part of the international academic exchange program, the second day of the scientific course titled “Occupational Safety and Environmental Awareness” continued on Monday, February 3rd, 2026, at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic.
The course features the active participation of Cihan University-Erbil students: Hajer Mohamed Ali and Mohammed Nariman Salman from the Department of Physiotherapy; Mariwan Arab Omar from the Department of Radiological Imaging Technology; and Ali Maher Daoud from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis.
The second day’s curriculum focused on critical academic and practical themes. Dr. Pavel Spirov delivered specialized sessions on Workplace Safety Principles, Accident Prevention, Fire Safety, and Emergency Evacuation Planning. Concurrently, Dr. Daniel Šimiček conducted a detailed lecture on “Waste Management in Engineering,” highlighting contemporary methods for handling industrial and engineering waste.
The program integrated theoretical knowledge with practical experience through an extensive field tour of Palacký University’s facilities and laboratories. During the visit, students observed advanced safety systems and modern educational infrastructure. Emphasis was placed on the practical application of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the interpretation of safety signage, and operational safety protocols.
The students of Cihan University-Erbil demonstrated high levels of engagement and professional competence, effectively bridging the gap between academic theory and international industrial standards.
