Cihan University-Erbil Students Explore the Historic Westminster Abbey in London
As part of their ongoing academic and cultural program in the United Kingdom, a delegation of students from Cihan University-Erbil conducted a field visit to the historic district of Westminster and the iconic Westminster Abbey in London on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
During the visit, the students explored the ancient history and magnificent architecture of the Abbey, which stands as one of the UK’s most significant national symbols and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This field engagement allowed Cihan University-Erbil students to gain firsthand insight into the civilizational heritage and cultural traditions of the United Kingdom, significantly broadening their intellectual perspectives on global history and culture.
The scientific delegation, supervised by Mr. Anas Al-Khouri, includes students: Rayan Hussein Hassan (3rd-year, Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences), Ali Maher Dawood (4th-year, Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis), and Rekawt Abdullah Rasul (4th-year, Department of Computer Science). In the coming days, the students are set to commence their academic curriculum focused on linguistic proficiency at the prestigious International Foundation Group (IFG) centers in Oxford and London.
