Cihan University-Erbil Students from Business Administration Department Visit Erbil Public Library – Zaytun

On Monday, 24 November 2025, a group of students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific visit to Erbil Public Library-Zaytun in the city of Erbil.

The visit was supervised by assistant lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. Upon their arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Nechirvan Farhad Yasin, an administrative staff member at the library. He informed the students that Erbil Public Library-Zaytun was established in 2004 by the South Korea Zaytun group as a gift to the Kurdistan Region. He further explained that the library houses 3,000 books in various fields and in different languages such as Kurdish, Arabic, English, Persian, Turkish, and German. He also emphasized that whenever someone needs a book, they must present their national ID card or passport, and they are allowed to check out books for a period of 3 to 7 days.

During the visit, Mr. Yasin clarified the importance of the library’s cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Tourism, since land records from the 1960s and 1970s are available at the Erbil Public Library-Zaytun.

Throughout the visit, the students explored different sections of the library in detail and became familiar with the services it provides to support academics and researchers and play a vital role in reading and university research activities.

This scientific visit served as an important step in enhancing the students’ skills and familiarizing them with the Erbil Public Library-Zaytun.
