Cihan University-Erbil Students Participate in Advanced Enzymology Training at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences
As part of their international scientific engagement, students from Cihan University-Erbil participated in an advanced laboratory training session on enzymology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Poland.
The session, held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, was supervised by the distinguished expert Dr. hab. inż. Urszula Jankiewicz and conducted in full compliance with international laboratory research standards. The participating second-year Medical Microbiology students, Kosrat Azad Khidir and Rawa Abdulsattar Jabbar, successfully completed the rigorous training program.
The specialized training focused on the mechanisms of enzyme inhibition. In a professional and standardized laboratory environment, the students explored intricate biochemical processes, a fundamental area in biochemistry and pharmacology. Through hands-on experimentation and the use of advanced instruments, they investigated how external substances can reduce or stop enzymatic reactions.
This field experience provided a valuable opportunity for the students to gain firsthand insight into drug mechanisms and metabolic regulation. Such practical exposure significantly enhances their academic understanding of Medical Microbiology and Biochemistry.
