Cihan University – Erbil Students Participate in Rudaw TV Health Program on Food Quality Standards

On Sunday, 19 July 2026, Cihan University – Erbil students participated in a scientific visit to the health program presented by Dr. Araz on Rudaw TV. The visit was supervised by A.L. Zubaida Hisham.

The television episode focused on Food Quality Standards, with discussions covering the quality assessment of flour, meat, salt, and cooking oils. The program highlighted key health and safety requirements throughout food production, processing, storage, and distribution, while emphasizing the importance of quality control in protecting public health. Practical guidance was also provided on interpreting food labels, verifying production and expiration dates, identifying reliable food sources, and recognizing appropriate storage conditions.

During the visit, the students observed the production process of a live health television program and gained firsthand experience in how scientific and nutritional information is communicated to the public through mass media. They also engaged in discussions on the contribution of medical biochemical analysis laboratories to food quality assessment, including laboratory testing for contaminants and verification of compliance with food safety standard
