Cihan University-Erbil Students Participated in a High-Level Scientific Event on the Latest Advances in Dermatology

On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, a group of students from Cihan University-Erbil participated in a specialized scientific conference to mark World Skin Health Day, reinforcing the university’s commitment to enhancing students’ scientific and practical skills and bridging the gap between academia and the healthcare sector.

The conference, held at the Sheraton Hotel, was attended by Mr. Omed Khoshnaw, Governor of Erbil; Dr. Dlovan Mohammed, Director General of Erbil Health; along with a significant number of physicians, experts, and health professionals. The event was organized by the Ashti Health Organization in coordination with the Erbil Teaching Center for Dermatological Diseases.

The agenda featured several key scientific and medical topics delivered by specialists and experts. The sessions addressed causes of skin diseases, prevention methods, the latest treatment options, and included essential guidance to raise public health awareness.

Students from the Biomedical Sciences department took part in the event, reflecting Cihan University-Erbil’s strategy of aligning theoretical knowledge with real-world demands. For Biomedical Sciences students, the event provided an opportunity to explore advanced clinical and technological aspects of dermatology.
