College of Dentistry Students Conduct Charity Dental Outreach at Rasan Primary School
On January 27, 2026, as part of their commitment to community service and social responsibility, fourth-stage students from the College of Dentistry at Cihan University conducted a charity outreach activity at Rasan Primary School. The activity was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Maryam Fakher Ibrahem and was warmly receivd by Mrs. Samera Taha Rasool, the principal of Rasan Primary School, who expressed her appreciation for the students’ efforts and the positive impact of such humanitarian initiatives on children’s health.
During the visit, the dental students provided free dental examinations to assess and diagnose oral health conditions among the pupils. They also offered oral hygiene instructions to promote proper dental practices and raise awareness of the importance of daily oral care from an early age.
As a continuation of this initiative, children identified as requiring further dental treatment were offered voluntary care at the College of Dentistry Clinic Hospital at Cihan University, ensuring ongoing treatment and follow-up services.
This charitable activity highlights the vital role of dental education in community service and reflects the College of Dentistry’s ongoing commitment to improving public oral health through volunteer initiatives.
