College of Dentistry Students Promote Oral Health at Hazharan Primary School
As part of its community engagement and oral health awareness initiatives, the College of Dentistry organized a scientific outreach visit to Hazharan Primary School on January 27, 2026.
The visit was conducted by fourth-stage dental students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rubar Ramadan Ali, aiming to promote oral hygiene and raise awareness about the importance of dental health among primary school children.
The delegation was warmly received by Mrs. Viyan Hamad Awla, Principal of Hazharan Primary School, who expressed appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the role of early dental education in improving children’s overall health.
During the visit, students conducted basic dental screenings, delivered educational sessions on proper tooth-brushing techniques and daily oral care, and shared age-appropriate guidance to help children maintain healthy teeth and gums. To encourage positive habits and create a friendly atmosphere, the team also distributed small gifts, spreading smiles and enthusiasm among the pupils.
This outreach visit highlights the College of Dentistry’s commitment to connecting academic knowledge with community service and fostering social responsibility among its students.
