College of Dentistry Visits Orphanage for Dental Care and Health Support
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, the College of Dentistry organized a heartwarming outreach initiative by visiting a local orphanage to provide comprehensive dental care and health services. Under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Sawen Tahseen Taha, Bahoz Himdad Majeed, and Maryam Fakher Ibrahim, a team of dedicated third-year dental students and faculty members offered free dental checkups, diagnosing oral health conditions and performing essential treatments for the children.
In addition to dental examinations, the team conducted blood sugar tests to address common health concerns. To further brighten the day, each child received a special gift, bringing smiles not only through medical care but also through this thoughtful gesture of kindness.
This visit underscores the College’s commitment to community service and its dedication to caring for underprivileged children, ensuring that every child, regardless of their background, has access to essential healthcare and support.
