On Monday, February 2, 2026, as part of the community service initiatives organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing at Cihan University–Erbil, a group of second-stage nursing students conducted an educational awareness visit to The Private Kurdistani Aynda High Schhol.
The visiting team was warmly received by Miss Drakhshan Faiq, School Manager, prior to the commencement of the seminar. The seminar was delivered by Payman Omran, Zina Bestun, and Shad Sarkawt, and focused on promoting positive behavioral practices that support academic success and personal development.
During the seminar, each presenter addressed a distinct theme related to personal growth and time management. Payman Omran delivered a presentation entitled “Active Living in Life,” emphasizing the importance of adopting an active and proactive approach to life. She explained that active engagement enables individuals to make informed and responsible life decisions, whereas passivity may allow external circumstances to control one’s direction and choices.
Zina Bestun presented a lecture titled “Social Media and Its Effects,” focusing on the role of social media in modern society. She highlighted that social media platforms should serve as supportive tools that enhance communication and learning rather than exert excessive control over individuals’ behaviors and daily routines. The presentation emphasized the importance of maximizing the positive aspects of social media while minimizing its negative effects.
The seminar concluded with a presentation by Shad Sarkawt, entitled “Achieving Success in Daily Life.” He emphasized that each day represents a new opportunity for growth and should not pass without clearly defined goals. He encouraged students to recognize and utilize small opportunities effectively, noting that consistent effort and goal-oriented planning can lead to significant long-term achievements.
Throughout the seminar, the presenters stressed the importance of balancing academic responsibilities, social activities, and personal well-being. Students were encouraged to apply effective time management strategies to reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall productivity.
At the end of the visit, the school administration expressed sincere appreciation to the students of Cihan University–Erbil for their valuable contribution.
