Community Health Nursing Students Conduct Field Visit to Al Hayat (Pepsi) Company in Erbil
On Thursday, November 20, second-stage students from the Community Health Nursing Department carried out an educational field visit to Al Hayat Pepsi Company in Erbil, under the supervision of Dr. Firas Ismael Mustafa.
The visit began with a warm reception by Ali Abdulla, Communication Officer, who introduced the students to the facility’s main departments and outlined the safety protocols followed within the company. The students received an overview of the company’s operational workflow and the essential steps taken to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Following the briefing, the students were guided on a detailed tour of the production area. During the tour, they observed the various stages of the manufacturing process, with particular emphasis on risk assessment procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, safe machinery operation, and environmental safety controls. The tour also highlighted the company’s efforts to prevent occupational injuries and maintain high safety standards across all sections of the facility.
The field visit provided the students with valuable real-world exposure, strengthening their understanding of occupational health principles and enhancing their readiness to evaluate workplace safety in diverse environments.
