Community Health Nursing Students Conduct Scientific Visit to Erbil International Hospital

On Sunday, 4 October 2026, third-stage students from the Department of Community Health Nursing (CHN) at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific and educational visit to Erbil International Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Thammary Tangam and Ms. Baran.

The students were warmly received by Mr. Osman Rasool Ali Hamad, Head of theEmergency Department at Erbil International Hospital,, who introduced them to the hospital and provided an overview of its facilities, clinical services, and specialized units.

 During the visit, the students toured several diagnostic units, including the CT scan, MRI, and Mammography rooms. They received explanations of the functions and clinical applications of these technologies and their importance in supporting accurate patient assessment and diagnosis.

The students also visited several specialized clinical departments, including Orthopedics, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecology, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), and the Operation Theatre. These visits provided the students with an opportunity to observe different hospital environments and gain a better understanding of patient care and multidisciplinary healthcare services.

In addition, the students learned about the hospital’s collaboration with specialist doctors from different countries, who visit the hospital to provide consultations and specialized medical expertise.
