Computer Science Department Students Visit Hiwa school: Raising Awareness on Web Programming

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, fourth-stage students from the Computer Science Department at Cihan University – Erbil visited Hiwa School to raise awareness about web programming and connect academic learning with the needs of the digital age. The students were received by Ms. Afkar Muthanna, Computer Science Teacher, and Ms. Eman Ihsan, Science Teacher, who appreciated the initiative for helping students learn more about modern technology.

During the visit, the university students gave a detailed seminar on web programming, focusing on important aspects of the digital industry, such as attractive visual design, which makes websites look appealing and easy to use, and responsive design, which ensures websites work well on all devices, including computers and smartphones. To show how this works in practice, the students demonstrated their own project, a digital store for selling sportswear, and explained how to create web interfaces using simple programming tools and visual development software, highlighting the importance of good design and responsiveness.

 The initiative received positive feedback from Hiwa School students, showing how Cihan University helps connect university education with the technology skills needed for the future.
