Computer Science Students Completed Intensive Training at Korek Telecom
Two female students from the Department of Computer Science at Cihan University-Erbil have successfully completed an intensive one-month training program at Korek Telecom Company and were subsequently awarded certificates of participation.
The students, Dilman Pasha Qadir and Helen Qaysar Arif, both in their fourth year of study, participated in the program, which offered extensive practical experience across key technical and administrative departments within the company. Throughout the training, they gained hands-on exposure to modern digital platforms, including My Korek, SAS (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing), and Roaming systems.
A core component of the program focused on electronic security and data protection in institutional contexts. Additionally, the students received professional training related to the responsibilities of an Information Technology Support Systems Administrator, as well as in the mechanisms of Internet Protocol Transmission and the operation of Central Internet Protocol Systems.
At the end of the training, Korek Telecom presented certificates of achievement to both students in recognition of their successful participation. In their reflections, Dilman and Helen expressed their sincere appreciation to the Korek Telecom supervisory team for their continuous support and guidance, with special acknowledgment to Mr. Aram Mahmoud, Mr. Yusuf Jawdat, and Mr. Mohammed Namiya from the Human Resources Department.
The students highlighted that the training provided them with a unique opportunity to enhance their professional and personal skills, deepen their understanding of industry practices, and develop advanced technical competencies that will support their future careers in the field of computer science.
