With immense honor and satisfaction, I extend my warmest and most sincere congratulations to you all on achieving an unprecedented and historic milestone in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings.

Through this ranking, our university has once again proven its standing as a prominent hub for science and progress not only on local basis, but also on the international level. Securing first place across the Kurdistan Region and fifth place nationally in Iraq, and ascending to the (601–800) global bracket among more than 1,600 academic institutions, represents a significant strategic leap forward.

This great success was not coincidental; it is the direct result of the clear vision and strategy of the University Council, the tireless dedication of our faculty and researchers, the loyalty of our hardworking staff, and the academic excellence of our dear students.

On this auspicious attainment occasion, I commend each and every one of you and wish you continued success. This achievement provides us with greater confidence to sustain our position at the forefront and move together toward a brighter and more advanced scientific future.
