Dentistry Students Visit Nursing Home for Donation and Health Services
On November 14, 2024, third-year students from the College of Dentistry organized a community outreach visit to a local nursing home. Under the supervision of Assistant Lecturers Sawen Tahseen Taha, Bahoz Himdad Majed, and Maryam Fakher Ibrahim, the students donated essential items and provided free dental check-ups, blood sugar tests, and blood pressure screenings for the elderly residents.
This initiative aimed to support the elderly by addressing their dental health needs, general health concerns, and providing psychological support. The residents expressed their gratitude for this thoughtful gesture, while the supervising lecturers commended the students for their dedication to community service.
Such events highlight the importance of integrating professional skills with social responsibility, fostering a spirit of care and empathy among future healthcare providers.
