Department Of Accounting Organized a Field Trip for the Fourth-Stage students to the Real Estate Bank in Erbil

On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the Department of Accounting at Cihan University–Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Real Estate Bank in Erbil for a group of fourth-stage students, supervised by Lecturer Rebin Bilal Mohammed

Upon arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by Lecturer Bafreen Khizr Abdulla, the IT Manager of the Real Estate Bank, who provided an overview of the bank’s core operations, including the banking workflow, types of services offered, loan categories, and the procedures involved in handling various financial transactions. The visit continued with a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Abdulrahman Hasan Abdulrahman, the Accountant Manager of the bank, who explained the practical accounting procedures used in banking. He demonstrated how accounting entries related to loans and interest are recorded, how accounts are categorized and maintained, how deposit accounts are managed, and the methods used to calculate loan interest. He also clarified the processes of adjusting and restructuring loan schedules. Throughout the visit, students reviewed real banking documents, observed how financial transactions are recorded in practice, and asked questions related to banking operations, credit procedures, and financial documentation.

Lecturer Rebin Bilal Mohammed concluded the visit by thanking the Real Estate Bank’s team for their warm reception and the valuable information they shared to enhance students’ practical understanding.
