Department of Accounting Students Participate in Nestlé Academy Training Program
On Monday, 22 June 2026, students from the Department of Accounting at Cihan University–Erbil participated in the Nestlé Academy Training Program, held at the Youth Hub in Erbil. The five-day program, which continued until 28 June 2026, was organized under the theme ‘Turning Learning into Opportunity’ to provide students with practical business knowledge and prepare them for their future careers. The opening session introduced participants to Nestlé’s corporate culture, values, and commitment to developing young talent while encouraging collaboration and professional networking.
On the second day, students explored Nestlé’s business operations through interactive sessions on the company’s products and business categories. They also gained valuable insights into the roles of the Nutrition, Finance, and Marketing departments and learned how these functions work together to support the company’s success.
The third day focused on Sales and Workplace Skills, during which participants learned the fundamentals of sales, customer engagement, product distribution, and workplace safety. Through practical discussions and real-world business examples, the students strengthened their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the sales process.
On the fourth day, the students visited one of Nestlé’s distributors and several retail stores in Erbil to observe how products are distributed, marketed, and sold in real business environments. The final day was dedicated to reviewing the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program, allowing participants to reflect on their experiences, exchange ideas, and discuss the importance of continuous learning and professional development.
Throughout the program, the students gained valuable practical experience in business operations, sales, finance, and marketing, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world business practice. The Nestlé Academy Training Program reflects Cihan University–Erbil’s commitment to providing high-quality experiential learning opportunities through collaboration with leading international companies, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for successful professional careers.
