Department of Community Health Nursing Organized a Scientific Visit to Erbil International Hospital
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, second-year students from the Department of Community Health Nursing at Cihan University – Erbil visited Erbil International Hospital under the supervision of Assistant Professor Thamari Tankam.
The students were warmly received by Mr. Osman Rasul Alee, the hospital representative, who guided them through various hospital departments. The visit included an introduction to the reception department, the patient registration process, emergency care units, the dialysis center, and the intensive care unit (ICU).
During the visit, Assistant Professor Thamari Tankam and Emergency Nurse Omed Salam provided valuable insights, particularly on the care and management of dialysis patients and wound treatment procedures. The students gained practical knowledge about patient supervision, treatment protocols, and emergency response practices.
At the end of the visit, Assistant Professor Thamari Tankam expressed her gratitude to the administration and staff of Erbil International Hospital for their dedication to patient care and their efforts in providing high-quality healthcare services. This educational visit gave students practical exposure to hospital operations and reinforced their understanding of community health nursing practices in real-world settings.
