Department of General Education Organized a Scientific Visit to Barz Private School

On Monday, February 24, 2025, third-year students from the Department of General Education at Cihan University-Erbil visited Barz Private School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dashni Abdullah Saeed. The students were warmly received by Mr. Rasty Khushnaw, the Principal of Barz Private School.

During the visit, Dr. Sunkar Ismail, the school’s Academic Coordinator, emphasized the importance of preparing a daily lesson plan. He explained that every teacher is required to submit their plan for daily review by a specialized committee. Dr. Sunkar further stated that the absence of a lesson plan could negatively impact a teacher’s ability to teach effectively and set clear educational objectives.

Following this, the students were divided into different classrooms to attend instructional sessions. They also visited a nearby kindergarten, where they observed the learning environment and various classroom activities. A briefing on the kindergarten’s policies, teaching approaches, and the types of activities used to stimulate children’s learning followed. Additionally, they observed how teachers utilized different classroom tools, managed student behavior, and encouraged active participation.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Dashni Abdullah Saeed expressed her gratitude for the invaluable support in facilitating this educational experience for the students. The students expressed their enthusiasm and stated that they greatly benefited from the experience, gaining valuable insights and ideas that they could apply in their future teaching careers
