Department of Informatics and Software Engineering Organizes Awareness Seminar for School Students

On Sunday, February 9, 2025, fourth-year students from the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering, Venus Mamand Haji and Arman Zakari Aziz, organized a field visit to Shadani Banerte Kachan School. The visit aimed to provide school students with valuable insights into the importance of technology, the basics of cybersecurity, and the impact of programming on daily life.

The students were welcomed by the school administration, including Mr. Sardar Ahmed and Mr. Shanaz Hussein Faki. The seminar featured engaging lectures on key topics such as the safe use of the Internet, the role of programming in the digital age, and technology’s impact on the future of education and work. Interactive activities and stimulating questions were included to encourage students to think creatively about technology and its applications.

The initiative received positive feedback from both the school administration and students, who actively participated in the discussions. Cihan University-Erbil students viewed the experience as an excellent opportunity to apply their communication skills and share their knowledge with the younger generation. They expressed enthusiasm for future initiatives of this nature.
