Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Students Earn Level 2 Mini-Football Referee Certification in Kurdistan

As part of the ongoing sports activities, the Kurdistan Mini-Football Federation, in cooperation with its Erbil branch, organized a Level 2 Mini-Football Referee Course for Kurdistan in Erbil. The course ran over three consecutive days, from September 26 to September 28, 2026, with the participation of 48 male and female participants. The theoretical and practical sessions of the course were conducted by an international referee and lecturer, Mr. Shwan Afrasiab.

A key highlight of the course was the active participation of several students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Cihan University – Erbil, including fourth-stage students (Ramin Farman Karimkhan and Omar Ismail Mirkhan) and second-stage students (Ahmed Abdulkarim Ibrahim, Ahmed Abdulrahim Qadir, and Elaf Omed Younis). They successfully completed the course and earned their Level 2 Mini-Football Referee certification in Kurdistan.

This success reflects the continuous support and encouragement provided by the aforementioned department to its students, aiming to enhance their academic and practical skills and engage them in official athletic events as qualified sports professionals. At the end of the course, certificates of completion were presented to the participants during a special ceremony acknowledging their dedication over the three days of training.
