Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil Successfully Completed its Training Course on Communication Skills in Healthcare
On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil successfully completed its five-day training course, held from February 23 to March 3, 2025, on “Communication Skills in Healthcare.” The course ended with a closing ceremony in the university’s Conference Hall and was organized under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Lecturer Tanya Salam.
During the ceremony, Lecturer Tanya Salam highlighted the importance of effective communication in healthcare, emphasizing how strong communication skills contribute to better patient care, accurate diagnosis, and improved teamwork within medical institutions. He also expressed gratitude to Cihan University-Erbil for supporting professional development programs and thanked the participants for their dedication and engagement throughout the course.
Over the past five days, participants engaged in interactive sessions covering verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, patient-centered care strategies, conflict resolution in medical settings, and teamwork enhancement. The training was led by Dr. Mazin Abdulrahman Haji, who conducted role-playing exercises and real-life case discussions, allowing attendees to apply the concepts learned in practical scenarios.
At the end of the event, Lecturer Tanya Salam awarded certificates of completion to participants, recognizing their commitment to improving their professional communication skills. Additionally, certificates of appreciation were presented to Dr. Mazin Abdulrahman Haji and the organizers in recognition of their contributions to the success of the course.
