Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil Visit Nursing Home

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, third-stage students from the Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil visited a nursing home under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Tokar and Assistant Lecturer Ms. Asma Ghulamiza.

Upon their arrival, the students were warmly welcomed by the nursing home’s director, Mr. Sanger Jamal, and his staff. Eager to apply their skills, the students conducted comprehensive physical assessments, including evaluations of body movements, muscle strength, and joint function. They also provided targeted exercises to promote mobility and prevent age-related health issues.

During the visit, the students gained valuable insights through hands-on assessments and shared practical advice on maintaining overall well-being and preventing common illnesses in old age. The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students and a meaningful contribution to the residents’ health. The director and staff expressed their gratitude, highlighting the positive impact of the students’ efforts and the importance of such initiatives in improving elderly care.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Tokar and Assistant Lecturer Ms. Asma Ghulamiza thanked Mr. Sanger Jamal for his warm reception and valuable guidance to the students.
