On Monday, December 1, 2025, a group of second- and third-year students from the Department of Public Administration visited the Erbil Directorate of Customs under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal. Upon their arrival, the group was warmly received by Mr. Fayaq Ahmed Miran, Director of the Erbil Directorate of Customs.

He also highlighted that the directorate uses the HS (Harmonized System) for classifying goods, an internationally recognized system adopted worldwide for customs purposes. Additionally, the Erbil Directorate of Customs operates in accordance with the Customs Law, the Definition of Customs, and the Customs Guide, which collectively provide legal authority, define the roles and responsibilities of customs administrations, and offer practical procedures for daily operations.
The visit concluded with the supervisor and students expressing their deep gratitude to Fayaq Ahmed Miran and his team for their warm reception and valuable information.
