DESCRIPTION
As one of the departments within the College of Arts and Letters, the Department of Translation at Cihan University-Erbil was established in the 2013-2014 academic year. Enrolling in this department increases students' understanding of translation studies, language, linguistics, and literature. Additionally, the department prepares students to be professional translators and English teachers.
VISION
The vision of the Department of Translation is to establish a distinguished department that meets high international standards. It emphasizes creating an engaging teaching and learning environment that motivates students to achieve the department's objectives in serving society and enhancing cultural awareness worldwide.
MISSION
The department equips students with the latest issues in translation, English literature, linguistics, and other language skills. The department's curriculum is designed according to scientific criteria, taking into consideration the development in the fields of language and translation. Practical applications are emphasized to produce efficient translators.
