English Language Department Students Conduct Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

On Monday, October 13, 2025, a group of second-Stage students from the English Language Department at Cihan University – Erbil organized an awareness activity in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The activity, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Rozhin Hussein Husseini, took place at Majidi Mall. During the event, the students distributed special brochures aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer among women and girls. These brochures contained essential information about breast cancer. The students also actively engaged with women and girls present at the mall, where discussions highlighted the importance of early detection. Furthermore, the students clarified that breast cancer awareness extends beyond physical aspects to encompass psychological, social, and emotional dimensions, all of which require attention and care. They urged women and girls to maintain their general health through regular screenings and continuous awareness.

At the conclusion of their activity, the English Language Department students delivered a powerful and inspiring message to women, propagating the slogan “Together We Are Stronger Than Cancer.” They encouraged everyone to continue spreading this message throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
