Third-year English Language Department students from Cihan University–Erbil visited Snobar Girls’ Public Secondary School on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, under the guidance of Lecturer Pola Tahseen Mohammed.
Upon arrival, the university students received a warm welcome from Ms. Sekala Mohammed Rashid, an English instructor, along with her fellow English teaching staff. The visit focused on examining instructional design, pedagogical approaches, and practical strategies employed in the school’s English language curriculum. Participants observed firsthand how educators develop lesson plans, facilitate student engagement, and assess learner achievement. They also explored the similarities and differences between tertiary-level language education and secondary school teaching methods. This experience encouraged students to reflect on effective teaching techniques, strategies for maintaining classroom discipline, and the role of motivation in language acquisition.
The school faculty concluded the session by thanking the visitors for their participation and for showing genuine interest in the learning experience.
