Freshmen of Department of English implementing group work activities
First year students of department of English were implementing group work activities under the supervision of Assist. Lecturer Pola T. Mohammed in the Academy Hall on May 2nd 2021.
Students were divided into small groups and they were given various topics to discuss and share their ideas in English language. These kind of activities can be an effective method to motivate and encourage students to communicate and use the target language in a critical way. During the discussions, students with different proficiency level participated in involved in the discussions. The lecturer circulated among the groups and answer any questions raised.
At the end of the session, the students were pleased and encouraged to do such activities weekly because they would have more chances to communicate.
