General Education Students Conduct Practical Training on Classroom Management

On Monday and Tuesday, October 13–14, 2025, the Head of the General Education Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a field visit for second-year students to the governmental Carnival School.

The visit was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Shahzad Ramadhan. Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Ms. Shawnem Muzaffar, the school principal. In her speech, she expressed the school administration’s readiness to cooperate with the university in all educational and training activities.

Following the arrival, the supervising instructor provided the students with academic and educational guidelines in a practical manner. He emphasized the importance of developing observation and analytical skills, understanding the teacher’s role in classroom management, and effectively organizing the learning environment. He also encouraged students to make the most of the school setting to enhance their abilities and competencies and to gain practical insight into the requirements of a modern educational environment.

During their two-day visit, the students shadowed several teachers, participated in lessons, and gained hands-on experience in classroom management and organization.

Finally, on behalf of the Head of the General Education Department, the supervising instructor extended his sincere thanks to the school administration and teaching staff for their warm welcome and for providing this valuable training opportunity for the students.
