On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, a group of third-year students from the Interior Design Engineering Department at Cihan University–Erbil conducted an educational field visit to the clothing shops at Majidi Mall. The visit was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed as part of the students’ Interior Design course.
The students were warmly received by Majidi Mall administration staff member Mr. Renas Muhammad Karem, who introduced them to the mall’s retail environment. He explained the basic operational principles of clothing stores, including circulation flow, lighting strategies, product arrangement, and visual merchandising techniques used to attract customers.
During the visit, the students observed key interior design elements such as material selection, color coordination, shelving systems, and brand-identity integration within the retail spaces. Mr. Renas also encouraged them to analyze how interior design decisions influence customer experience and purchasing behavior.
Overall, the students gained valuable knowledge about store layout, display organization, and how interior design enhances functionality and visual appeal in clothing shops throughout the visit.
