Interior Design Engineering Department Students Visit The Kitchen Company

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, a group of second-year students from the Interior Design Engineering Department at Cihan University–Erbil conducted an educational field visit to The Kitchen Company.

The visit was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed. The students were warmly received by the company representative, Mr. Omard Aziz Abdullah, who introduced them to the company’s production process and showroom layout. He explained the different types of kitchen units, functional zoning, storage solutions, and how materials such as MDF, HPL, acrylic, and solid surfaces are selected based on durability, aesthetics, and client needs.

During the visit, the students observed the design and installation techniques used in contemporary kitchens. The importance of ergonomic standards, workflow efficiency (the kitchen work triangle), lighting distribution, and the impact of color and finishes on the overall interior ambiance was also explained.
