International Relations and Diplomacy Students Attend Cultural Seminar and Book Launch by Renowned Scholar

As part of their commitment to fostering cultural and academic engagement, fourth-year students from the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at Cihan University–Erbil participated in a cultural seminar organized by the Kurdish Writers Union – Erbil Branch. The event, held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the ‘Martyr Mahdi Khoshnaw’ Hall, focused on the introduction of a significant new academic publication.

The student delegation, including Abdullah Khalid, Mohammed Aziz, Dlovan Amjad, and Khabir Abdulrazzaq, was warmly received by Mr. Lazim Marouf and the event organizers. The seminar featured the launch of the book ‘Literary Journalism in England and Egypt’ by the renowned author, Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Jawad.

During the session, Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Jawad provided an in-depth overview of his book, written in English, which presents a comparative study of literary journalism in the United Kingdom and Egypt. In recognition of Cihan University–Erbil’s academic standing, he presented a signed copy to the University’s Central Library. Additional copies were distributed to attending students and guests.
