Law Department: A Scientific Visit to the Labor Court in Erbil

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, fifth-year students from the Law Department at Cihan University-Erbil visited the Labor Court in Erbil. The visit was held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Avan Mohsen Rashid, and the students were warmly received by the President of the Court of Appeal, Judge Fakher Saber. This visit provided students with the chance to learn about court workflows and understand legal procedures specifically related to labor cases.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the organizational structure of the court and its various departments. The primary objective of the visit was to familiarize students with the types of cases that the Labor Court has jurisdiction over and the procedures for examining them.

The students gained insights into labor law, the rights and obligations of workers and employers, social security, employment contracts, compensation, and other topics of interest to lawyers in the labor court, such as the role of judges and lawyers in the judicial process. The students discussed and asked questions, receiving clear and useful answers.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Avan Mohsen Rashid expressed her gratitude to Judge Fakher Saber for his valuable time and the experiences shared with the students.
