Law Department Organizes a Field Visit for Students to Tehkim Law Firm

On Monday, September 28, 2026, the Law Department at Cihan University – Erbil organized a field visit to Tehkim Law Firm for its fourth-year students, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Saman Hassan Ali.

Upon arrival, the students were received by Legal Consultant Dr. Ahmed Jouda Ali Agha Ozeri, who introduced the nature of legal work and the firm’s role in case management and client representation. Dr. Jouda emphasized the importance of document archiving and full commitment to information confidentiality and client privacy as fundamental pillars of the profession.

The explanation also addressed trial preparation mechanisms, starting from case file analysis and evidence gathering, through analyzing legal texts and drafting defense strategies, to presenting arguments before the court. Additionally, it highlighted disciplinary procedures and legal regulations governing professional practice.

The visit witnessed great interaction from the students through insightful questions that enriched the discussion and broadened their understanding of the professional work environment. This initiative comes within a series of scientific activities organized by the department to develop students’ skills and prepare them for their legal practices in the future.
