Media Department Holds Friendly Football Match with Speda Satellite Channel

As part of the ongoing sports and social initiatives aimed at strengthening media relations and promoting physical activity among students, the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a friendly football match with Speda Satellite Channel on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Hana City Stadium in Erbil.

The match was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, and featured the Media Department team—comprising second- and third-year students from the department—competing against journalists and staff from Speda Satellite Channel. After an intense and spirited game played in a friendly sporting atmosphere, the Speda Satellite Channel team emerged victorious with a score of 5–4.

At the end of the match, the supervising lecturer thanked both teams for playing in a friendly and sportsmanlike manner. He also emphasized that the match provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relations between the Media Department students and the staff and media personnel of Speda Satellite Channel.
