Media Department Organizes Specialized Training on the Role of Makeup in Media Production

In a scientific activity, the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer (Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim), organized a training session titled (The Role of Makeup in Media Production) at Cihan Academy Hall for Training and Development.

The training content was presented by Mr. (Adnan Seerwan), makeup artist at Rudaw Media Network, and was attended by students from all four levels of the Media Department. At the beginning of the training, the trainer discussed the importance of using makeup in media production, especially in television, explaining that makeup is not only for beautification, but has an important technical and professional role in media production. He also highlighted the benefits of using makeup to address the damage caused by studio lighting for media professionals, and explained how makeup can ensure a professional and beautiful image during the recording of television programs.

In another part of the training, the trainer practically demonstrated how to apply makeup correctly, which provided an important opportunity for students to become closely familiar with this specialized work. Trainer Adnan Seerwan discussed employment opportunities for those who want to become makeup artists, and explained that this field offers good job opportunities for those who love working in the media sector.

In conclusion, the supervising lecturer, on behalf of the Media Department head, presented a certificate of appreciation and recognition to Mr. (Adnan Seerwan), while certificates of participation were also presented to the attending students.
