Media Department Student Delivers Seminar at Bestora Girls’ Preparatory School
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Nergiz Amir Saeed, a third-year student in the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil, delivered a scientific seminar titled Self-Love: The Key to a Happy Life to students at Bestora Girls’ Preparatory School in the Bestora district.
Nergiz Amir was warmly received by Ms Bafreen Hassan Abdullah, the Principal of Bestora Girls’ Preparatory School, and Sayran Mohammed, the Assistant Principal. The seminar was attended by more than 100 students. At the beginning of the session, Nergiz Amir discussed the importance of self-love and its essential role in personal well-being, particularly during the preparatory stage. She emphasized that students should value and care for themselves first, as self-respect forms the basis for healthy relationships with others.
During another part of the seminar, Nergiz Amir highlighted practical ways to develop self-love in daily life. These included caring for mental and physical health, avoiding unhealthy comparisons with others, and maintaining positive self-talk. She also stressed the importance of setting goals and having clear dreams for the future, explaining that self-love is a fundamental foundation for success and personal growth.
The students actively participated in the seminar and raised several questions about overcoming feelings of inferiority and building self-confidence.
At the end of the seminar, the Principal of Bestora Girls’ Preparatory School expressed her appreciation to the Media Department and to Nergiz Amir for delivering this valuable seminar. She noted that such activities play an important role in developing students’ personalities and preparing them for their future lives.
