Media Department Students at Cihan University-Erbil Visit the Rudaw Media Network

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the Media Department students at Cihan University-Erbil visited the Rudaw Media Network under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dilan Ismail. The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand insights into the operations and workflow of a major media network.

They were warmly received by Mr. Ali Jaff, Head of Public Relations at Rudaw, who provided an overview of the roles of the network in program presentation and news broadcasting. He emphasized Rudaw’s commitment to delivering high-quality content.

During the visit, the students toured various studios, where they learned about the recording process and program scheduling. They also observed the teamwork and meticulous planning required to produce and broadcast content efficiently.

A key highlight of the tour was the control room, where they witnessed how technical staff manage and monitor live broadcasts. This experience offered them a closer look at the behind-the-scenes operations, ensuring seamless programming.

They later explored the radio department, where they were received by the department head. He provided insights into the different radio programs produced by Rudaw, highlighting the reach and impact of Rudaw’s podcasts and broadcasts. Additionally, they observed the process of recording radio programs and learned how audio and music are mixed with speech.

At the end of the visit, they received special gifts from the Rudaw team. Mr. Ali emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Rudaw Media Network and the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil. He also suggested that Rudaw Media Network could offer internship and training opportunities to help students further develop their skills.
