Media Department Students Conduct Cultural Visit to Tafsir Library

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, the Department of Media at Cihan University–Erbil organized an academic visit. The participants included students from the second, third, and fourth academic stages. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Mukhlis Younis, Director of the Tafsir Library, who expressed his pleasure at the visit and described it as a valuable scientific and cultural endeavor. In his address, he highlighted the library’s history and its essential role over the past thirty years in the cultural and scientific spheres. He also emphasized the importance of reading as a key factor for social progress and the advancement of civilization.

Following the address, the students toured the library, exploring its diverse resources across various fields, with particular attention to media studies. They also observed the evolution of book printing and quality, recognizing these changes as a reflection of media development.

At the end of the visit, the supervising lecturer extended his gratitude to the Director and staff of the Tafsir Library for their hospitality and for presenting gifts to the students. He expressed hope that the library would continue its support for university students by providing new resources across all academic disciplines.
