Media Department Students Conduct Educational Visit to Duhok Radio

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, as part of a scientific trip to Duhok city, a group of students from the second and third stages of the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, visited Duhok Radio.

Mr. Rayan Muhammad, a producer at Duhok Radio, warmly received the supervising lecturer and the students and expressed his delight at their visit. During the visit, Mr. Muhammad provided insights into the history of Duhok Radio’s establishment and its significant role in promoting social awareness and cultural messages in the city. He also highlighted the radio’s efforts to preserve and disseminate authentic Kurdish culture and heritage through the art of sound.

The students, in turn, became familiar with the operational methods of Duhok Radio and had the opportunity to visit the archive section, which displays historical equipment and tools used since the station’s founding.

At the end of the visit, the supervising lecturer thanked Mr. Rayan Muhammad for his warm hospitality and reception of the Media Department students from Cihan University-Erbil. He expressed hope that Duhok Radio will continue to uphold the noble values of Kurdish society and further contribute to the promotion of Kurdish culture and heritage.
