Media Department Students Conduct Educational Visit to Kurdistan24 Office in Duhok

Continuing their scientific trip to the city of Duhok, students from the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil, on Saturday, 8 November 2025, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, visited the Kurdistan24 Television Office in Duhok.

Mr. Salah Ali, Head of the Kurdistan24 Office in Duhok, received the supervising lecturer and students and expressed his appreciation for this important visit. During the visit, he discussed the duties and responsibilities of the channel’s office in Duhok, as well as the coordination between their office and the institution’s main headquarters in Erbil regarding media operations.

He also introduced the students to the office’s various sections, including the news writing department, correspondent unit, and live broadcasting room, which are actively engaged in recording and broadcasting news across Duhok Governorate and surrounding areas. In his explanation, Mr. Ali emphasized the importance of speed and accuracy in preparing and broadcasting news, especially in the digital media era, which requires professionalism and responsibility.

The students actively participated in the discussion, gaining valuable insights from the office’s experience and learning about the nature of work in media institutions.

At the end of the visit, the supervising lecturer thanked the head of the Kurdistan24 office and the staff for their warm hospitality and for providing such a valuable learning opportunity for the Media Department students at Cihan University-Erbil.
