On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, students from the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil visited the Nishtiman Private Institute and presented a seminar titled “Professional Relationships Among Students” under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim.
The students, Faraidun Salar and Najwa Baqi, were received by Aryan Kamaran Fadhil, the Assistant Director for Administrative Affairs at the Nishtiman Institute. The institute’s administration commended the Media Department students from Cihan University–Erbil for selecting this significant topic, which has a direct impact on the learning environment and the personal growth of students.
In the first part of the seminar, Faraidun Salar highlighted the concept of professional relationships as those built on respect and shared goals. He also explained the difference between personal friendship and professional peer relationships to the audience. He emphasized three core principles: mutual respect, maintaining personal boundaries, and honesty. Furthermore, he discussed the importance of communication skills, such as active listening and body language, and the value of teamwork within the classroom to achieve collective success.
In the second part of the seminar, Najwa Baqi addressed conflict resolution through calm and direct dialogue. She also dedicated a significant segment to the etiquette of using social media and study groups, stressing that these groups should be used exclusively for academic purposes and that students must respect their peers’ private time. In her concluding remarks, she outlined the benefits of professional relationships for students, including building a strong personal brand and creating a network for future career opportunities.
In conclusion, the Assistant Director of the Nishtiman Institute expressed his gratitude to both students and the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil. He emphasized that familiarizing students with these professional principles helps reduce psychological pressure and fosters a more conducive learning environment.
