Media Department Students on an Educational Visit to Waar Television in Duhok

On Saturday, November 8, 2025, a group of students from the Department of Media at Cihan University-Erbil, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim, went on a scientific trip to the city of Duhok, where they visited Waar Television.

The supervising lecturer and students were warmly received by Mr. Haval Sidqi, Director of Studios, and Mr. Rebar Kurdo, Director of social media at the channel.
Mr. Rebar Kurdo, who also serves as a program presenter at Waar TV, spoke about the channel’s vision and ongoing projects, emphasizing its role in promoting cultural and civilizational values within Kurdish society and supporting coexistence among different ethnic and religious communities in the Kurdistan Region.

Meanwhile, Mr. Haval Sidqi, Director of Studios, gave the students an informative tour of the channel’s various studios, explaining the functions and importance of the advanced equipment used in media production. He also introduced them to several departments, including the control room and audio studios.

Later, Mr. Galwan Khalid, Director of the Archive Department at Waar TV, welcomed the students and explained the archival system used by the channel to preserve its media productions.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamal Hama Karim expressed his sincere appreciation to the officials of Waar Channel for their warm hospitality and for providing Cihan University-Erbil students with an insightful opportunity to learn about modern and advanced techniques in television media production.
